Pups in Shades

There was no way that i could NOT post these images. First, there are PUPPIES involved, and anyone that knows anything about me should know that anytime i see any puppy (by the way: i refer to all dogs as puppies) my heart literally melts and i turn into the sappiest little puppylovin girl. Second, today is my roommates birthday, and she happens to share an identical infatuation. So in honor of Sonja's birthday and our daily dreams of one day owning a little pup of our own, i present to you these adorable puppies looking stylish in sunglasses.

X-Ray Pin Up

A medical imaging equipment manufacturer called Eizo recently released a pin up calendar as a way to advertise and promote their company to potential clients. Probably one of the coolest, most innovative things i have ever seen in the medical world of marketing.

Round & round & round we go...

1. Topshop Tortoise Shell Metal Round Sunglasses - $30
2. Urban Outfitters Half and Half Sunglasses - $10
3. Urban Outfitters Transparency Sunglasses - $14
4. Karen Walker Eyewear Helter Skelter - $170
5. Illesteva Frieda Tortoise Sunglasses - $180
6. Karen Walker Eyewear Rover Fluorescent Orange - $170

A key accessory in any wardrobe, a pair of sunglasses is essential for the summer. This season I am finding the vintage round glasses very drool-worthy. Stylized  by Mary Kate Olsen, this John Lennon retro look is a perfect way to edge up any outfit.

Coach Collectibles

This post is way overdue and I apologize for not paying adequate attention to updating my blog. Life in the big city is keeping me overwhelmed with things to do and I can't seem to find a single second to focus on myself.

A few weeks ago, four fabulous bloggers joined together at the Coach store on Fifth Ave to debut their personally designed handbags for the Coach Collectibles event. I rushed back into the city after a long day of work in New Jersey to meet my roommate Sonja at the event we have been counting down the days for. What a success! Hats off to Emily, Krystal, Karla and Karen, you ladies did an exquisite job designing your personal pieces and the event could not have gone smoother. I had such a pleasure meeting all of you and hope this wasn't the last of our run-ins.

EMILY

My idol and a constant source of inspiration (starting with this blog and applied to my daily life), Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere has stolen my heart. She is charming, stylish and sophisticated with a natural flair for fashion and a culinary extraordinaire. This week she will be in New York for a Coach Collectives shopping event (along with Karla, Kelly and Krystal). Luckily, I am spending this summer in New York City and hope i get the chance to actually meet her at the event.

It's finally summer and for the first time in years I have access to the beach! An exciting improvement to my usual dry summers...and with it comes the tedious process of picking out the perfect swimsuit. While shopping for that ideal bikini, I got a little sidetracked with all the gorgeous (and unfortunately unaffordable to me) swimwear out there. Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere recently did a swimwear post, and as she is a constant inspiration I decided to follow suit and make one of my own. These pieces can't be afforded by many, but can certainly be admired by all.
